The Publishing House Nomiki Bibliothiki acts as communication sponsor to the 13th Conference of PRODEXPO concerning the “Exploitation of Real Estate”.
This is a 2-days conference that will be held in Athens on Thursday 1st November 2012 to Friday 2nd November 2012 (meeting point: Grande Bretagne Hotel). Speakers are distinguished Greek and foreign specialists from real estate developers and consulting agencies, property investment organizations, construction companies and consortiums, architectural offices, as well as from state agencies and semi-public entities in charge of developing the real estate property of the Greek State.
During the 2-days conference, discussions will take place on the financial crisis’s impact on the real estate market, the current situation and the trends, the challenges and the available solutions.

Intellectual Property - protection of copyright works
By the recent court order 4658/2012 of the Athens One Member court of First Instance, it is the first time in Greece that internet providers are ordered by court to take efficient technological measures in order to prevent their users from having access to internet sites that allow and facilitate illegal presentation and copy of digital copyright works. Court order was issued after request for injunction measures submitted to court by copyright collecting societies for copyright music and audio visual works.
In essence, this court order applies for the first time article 64 of the Law 2121/1993 (in implementation of Directive 2001/29/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 May 2001 on the harmonisation of certain aspects of copyright and related rights in the information society) which provides for the right of right holders of applying for an injunction against an intermediary who carries a third party's infringement of a protected work or other subject-matter in a network.
